T66 — Motorbike Rental Terms and Conditions
1. Legal Identity and Scope
T66 moto Italy (T66) is the trading name under which motorcycle rental services are provided. Where legal identification is required, services are delivered by SHEPPO S.R.L., an Italian registered company. References to “T66” refer to the commercial operating service unless legal identification is required.
These Terms and Conditions govern reservations, agreements, possession, operation, storage, cross-border movement, and return of motorcycles and equipment supplied by T66. Acceptance occurs upon booking confirmation, payment, or physical collection and remains binding throughout the period of custody.
T66 reserves the right to amend operational conditions where necessary to maintain regulatory, insurance, or safety compliance.
2. Definitions
Motorcycle refers to the vehicle supplied including installed components and accessories. Equipment refers to helmets, luggage, mounts, navigation devices or other items supplied. Rental Period refers to the duration between handover and confirmed return.
Incident refers to accident, damage, mechanical compromise, loss, theft, fire, vandalism, or any event causing damage to the motorcycle or equipment.
Customer and Authorised Rider refer to individuals approved by T66 to operate the motorcycle. Unsealed Roads refers to non-paved surfaces including gravel, dirt, forestry tracks, agricultural access, sand, or similar environments.
3. Eligibility and Licensing
The customer must hold a valid licence appropriate to the motorcycle category and must be legally permitted to operate such vehicles within Italy and any authorised travel jurisdictions.
For licences issued outside the EU or EEA, the customer must carry an International Driving Permit where required. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring they hold all documentation necessary for lawful riding in Italy and any authorised jurisdictions.
Minimum rider age is 25 years, and the rider must have held the relevant motorcycle licence for more than 12 months, unless otherwise approved in writing.
T66 may retain copies of identification and licensing documents for compliance and for settlement of cases that may occur after termination (including fines and claims).
4. Reservation, Payment and Cancellation
To confirm a reservation, the customer must pay a booking deposit equal to 30% of the total rental price for the motorcycle, equipment, and any agreed services.
The remaining balance is due in full and without exception on or before collection of the motorcycle, together with establishment of the security deposit.
The payment card used for the rental payment and security deposit must be in the name of the customer. Failure or refusal to pay the balance or establish the security deposit results in termination with no right to compensation.
Cancellations may be eligible for refund only where T66 can reasonably reallocate the motorcycle for the cancelled period. Where T66 cannot reallocate, all amounts may be retained as indemnity for utilisation loss. A cancellation window, where offered, will be specified in the booking confirmation.
5. Security Deposit: Amount, Holding Period, Release
A refundable security deposit must be established prior to release:

Motorcycles exceeding 1000cc displacement require €3,000
- Motorcycles below 1000cc require €2,000.
The security deposit is blocked/held at the time of takeover of the motorcycle, equipment, documents and keys, and is unlocked/returned within 7 calendar days after the date of return or recovery by T66 of the motorcycle, equipment, keys and documents in the same aesthetics and function as the date of receipt (normal wear excepted).
If the Rental Period is extended by written agreement and the applicable deposit differs from the initial amount, the deposit amount will be adjusted prior to continuation.
T66 may withhold any amounts from the deposit representing damages incurred and any amounts payable under these Terms, including but not limited to:

loss or destruction of motorcycle documents or keys
-
use of fuel other than specified by the motorcycle technical documentation
-
unauthorised use as defined in these Terms
-
incorrect fuel gauge handling or misfuelling effects requiring repair
-
recovery and towing where the Terms are not fulfilled
-
fees, fines, penalties and legal expenses arising from non-compliance with these Terms, applicable traffic codes, laws, rules, or norms in force in Italy or other authorised jurisdictions
-
return or abandonment of the motorcycle, equipment, documents, or keys in a place other than the agreed return location
-
road fines incurred while driving the motorcycle that are transmitted directly to T66 and for which proof of payment is not provided
-
refuelling penalties under the fuel policy
-
late return charges, scheduling disruption charges, and additional rental day charges
-
cleaning or remediation costs where return condition exceeds reasonable wear
-
equipment replacement or repair costs
-
deductible exposure or uninsured components of a claim
The deposit does not cap liability. Where exposure exceeds the deposit, the customer remains liable and authorises T66 to recover the balance via the payment method used or by invoice.
6. Handover and Return Windows, Grace Period, Alternative Locations
Collection and return must occur only within operating windows of 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00 Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A grace period of 1 hour applies to the scheduled return time only where all of the following conditions are met:

the return occurs within standard return windows stated above
-
the return does not impede the next customer, scheduled handover, or operational scheduling
-
T66 confirms operational acceptability at its discretion
Where the grace period is exceeded, or where return occurs outside standard return windows, or where the delay impinges on the next customer or operations, the customer may be charged the equivalent value of an additional rental day and any operational handling costs incurred.
If a return delay exceeds 21 hours beyond the scheduled return time, T66 may treat the motorcycle as not returned and may notify competent authorities and/or initiate recovery.
Alternative collection/return locations are not standard services and are available only by explicit written agreement. Where agreed, the alternative location is limited to local hotels in Turin and only within a defined local radius as determined by T66.
A delivery/collection fee may apply and must be paid prior to the Rental Period. If the actual location differs from the agreed location, T66 may recalculate the delivery/collection fee and deduct it from the deposit and may also recover any additional costs incurred to recover the motorcycle, equipment, documents, or keys.
7. Vehicle Condition Report and Signed Protocol
At handover, a vehicle condition report will be completed covering motorcycle condition, accessories, documents, keys, and visible defects. The customer must review and sign the condition report. Photographs may be taken and form part of the condition protocol.
By signing the condition report and taking possession, the customer confirms acceptance of the motorcycle and equipment condition as recorded.
At return, a return inspection will be performed against the signed handover protocol. Differences attributable to damage, misuse, or abnormal wear may be charged, based on authorised service estimates and replacement values.
8. Custody, Safeguarding and Use of Keys/Documents
The customer assumes full custodial responsibility and must safeguard the motorcycle, keys, documents, and equipment.
Negligence includes leaving keys accessible, failure to secure the motorcycle with available locks, or exposing the motorcycle to avoidable theft risk. Negligence may result in additional liability beyond standard allocations.
The customer must keep motorcycle documents and keys secure and return them at the end of the Rental Period.
9. Fuel Policy
The motorcycle is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.
If the motorcycle is not returned full, a €55 administrative refuelling charge will be deducted from the deposit. This is a handling penalty and does not limit T66’s right to recover additional costs where depletion is material or where additional travel, labour, or delays are caused.
Use of fuel other than that specified by the motorcycle technical documentation is strictly prohibited and all repair costs are payable by the customer.
10. Permitted Use, Unsealed Roads, Off-Road and Termination for Misuse
The motorcycle must be used lawfully and responsibly on public roads.
Unsealed roads are permitted only by explicit agreement in writing and only within authorised jurisdictions. Where unsealed road use is agreed, the customer remains fully responsible for all damage, wear, and recovery costs attributable to surface exposure unless optional protections expressly cover such exposure.
Off-road riding outside public roads is prohibited unless explicitly authorised in writing. Operation outside public roads without authorisation constitutes unauthorised use and may invalidate protections and trigger termination.
Unauthorised use includes, without limitation:

making any modifications or repairs to the motorcycle or accessories, including tampering with odometer/telemetry, unauthorised repairs, or alteration of components:
-
subletting the motorcycle without written agreement
-
allowing any person other than the customer and an authorised rider to operate the motorcycle
-
using or allowing use for illegal activities or in an illegal, reckless, or irresponsible manner
-
using or allowing use in racing, competitions, or timed events
-
using or allowing use to tow or push objects or vehicles
-
carrying more passengers than permitted by the motorcycle technical specifications
-
exceeding maximum permissible load as stated in the registration documentation
-
riding or allowing riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotic substances, or medicines that reduce capacity, whether prescribed or not
-
crossing borders outside authorised jurisdictions or outside approved routes without written consent
-
riding outside public roads without written consent
-
using false identity, invalid licence, expired licence within the Rental Period, or obtaining keys without T66 approval
-
transporting explosives, corrosives, chemicals, or hazardous materials without written consent
-
allowing the motorcycle to be used to teach another person to ride
-
Unauthorised use may result in immediate termination. The customer remains liable for all prejudice caused and any consequences of unauthorised use, including recovery, damage, claims, legal costs, and loss of use.
11. Tyres, Wheels and Consumables
Tyres are consumables. Punctures, tyre damage, and tyre replacement during the Rental Period are the customer’s responsibility unless attributable solely to a proven manufacturing or maintenance defect.
Continued operation on a compromised tyre resulting in wheel damage increases liability for wheel and associated mechanical damage.
12. Mechanical Operation and Duty to Prevent Further Damage
The customer must operate the motorcycle with prudence and diligence. Warning indicators must be treated seriously and the customer must stop operation where continuing could cause additional damage.
Ignoring warnings, operating after impact, or continuing with known faults may result in liability for resulting damage.
13. Breakdown Procedure (Step-by-Step)
In the event of breakdown, immobilisation, warning condition, or suspected damage:

Stop safely and prioritise road safety.
-
Do not continue riding if doing so may cause additional damage.
-
Contact T66 immediately and provide location, motorcycle status, and a description of the issue.
-
Follow T66 instructions regarding roadside assistance, recovery, or repair.
-
Do not arrange third-party recovery or repairs without T66 authorisation unless there is an immediate safety risk requiring urgent action.
-
Where third-party intervention is unavoidable due to safety risk, the customer must notify T66 as soon as practicable and provide invoices and documentation.
Recovery and towing are charged to the customer where immobilisation arises from accident, misuse, puncture, misfuelling, negligence, unsealed/off-road exposure not covered, or rider error. Recovery is not charged where immobilisation results solely from mechanical failure through no fault of the customer, as determined by authorised assessment.
Recovery is not included in insurance coverage.
14. Incident Reporting and Evidence Requirements
Any accident, theft, vandalism, fire, or event causing damage must be reported immediately to T66 and to competent authorities where required.
The customer must obtain and provide all necessary documents, including incident reports, police findings, repair authorisations, witness details, and third-party insurance information where applicable.
All incident documents must be transmitted to T66 within 48 hours of the event.
Failure to provide required documents, or failure to cooperate, may result in full liability for repairs and associated costs.
15. Theft
The customer must safeguard the motorcycle and keys.
In the event of confirmed theft during the Rental Period, and subject to compliance with reporting and cooperation obligations, the customer is liable to pay 30% of the replacement value of the motorcycle.
Where theft arises in circumstances involving negligence, unauthorised use, or failure to comply with safeguarding obligations, the customer may be liable for full replacement exposure and all associated costs.
16. Supplier Obligations
T66 must provide the motorcycle and agreed accessories in a condition suitable for lawful use and not presenting unreasonable risk arising from mechanical defect at handover.
T66 is not responsible for damages not caused by the physical or operating condition of the motorcycle at handover, and is not responsible for indirect losses such as missed travel, accommodation, or itinerary disruption.
17. Customer Obligations
The customer is obliged:

to comply with these Terms and any written instructions
-
to abide traffic rules and avoid any situation that could cause damage to the motorcycle, equipment, or third parties
-
to use the motorcycle with prudence and diligence
-
to pay all charges under these Terms including additional justified costs
-
to return the motorcycle, equipment, keys, and documents in the same aesthetics and function as at receipt (normal wear excepted)
-
to notify authorities and T66 immediately in case of accident, theft, vandalism, or event causing damage and obtain required documents
-
to provide proof of payment of any fines incurred, as soon as possible after payment
18. Liability and Claims Submission Deadline
T66 shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including loss of profits, use, or data, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Any claim connected with damage allegedly caused by T66 must be made only in writing to the contact address specified by T66, not later than 30 days from the date of such damage.
The customer is liable for damages caused to the motorcycle, equipment, documents, and keys, and for bodily injury of any person as a result of driving the motorcycle, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Insurance Coverage and Optional Protection
Third-party liability insurance is mandatory and included in the rental price. It covers damage caused to third parties as a result of an accident caused by the policyholder (or authorised rider) within the limit of €1,000,000 compensation for pecuniary damage and €5,000,000 compensation for bodily injury and decease.
The third-party liability insurance does not cover personal injury to the customer, authorised riders, or passengers, does not cover loss or damage to personal property, and does not cover damage to the motorcycle itself.
The customer and any other passenger is solely responsible for insuring their personal possessions. T66 is not responsible for any damage, theft, loss or destruction of any personal items during the period of the rental.
The security deposit remains a financial security instrument held as authorisation against potential charges and does not define or cap liability exposure.
Recovery, towing, and logistical relocation costs are not included within the insurance protection coverage and remain chargeable to the customer.
T66 recommends that customers maintain personal travel or medical insurance covering motorcycling activities, evacuation, repatriation, and income loss.
20. Personal Injury, Passenger Responsibility, and Indemnification
Motorcycle operation carries inherent risk of serious injury or death.
The customer acknowledges these risks and accepts full responsibility for operating or permitting operation of the motorcycle.
No insurance provided under these Terms covers injury or death of the customer, authorised riders, or passengers. The customer and any passenger are required to fully insure themselves, including medical treatment, emergency evacuation, repatriation, and income loss.
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SHEPPO S.R.L., T66, and their personnel from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or legal costs arising from personal injury, illness, disability, or death sustained by the customer, any authorised rider, any passenger, or any claimant/estate, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
21. Cross-Border Operation, Road Charges and Regulatory Compliance
Travel is permitted only within Italy and the following authorised jurisdictions: European Union member states, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway, unless otherwise authorised in writing.
Travel outside authorised jurisdictions, or cross-border travel without required authorisation where specified, may invalidate insurance and optional protections, and all resulting exposure including recovery, repatriation, and legal costs will be payable by the customer.
The customer is solely responsible for compliance with all road usage charges, toll systems, motorway access licences (including vignette systems), congestion schemes, environmental access permits, or similar regulatory requirements in any jurisdiction visited during the Rental Period.
T66 does not provide, administer, or reimburse such permits or charges unless explicitly agreed in writing. The customer must obtain and display any required authorisations prior to or during travel and bears full responsibility for any penalties, administrative costs, or enforcement actions arising from non-compliance.
22. Loss of Use
Where damage or incident removes the motorcycle from service, T66 may recover loss-of-use exposure reflecting the period the motorcycle is unavailable for rental operations.
Loss-of-use and repair costs will be calculated based on an estimate made by authorised service units chosen by T66 and may include labour, parts, and reasonable rental-value impact during the repair period.
23. Fines, Penalties, Administrative Charges and Post-Rental Recovery
The customer is responsible for all fees, fines, penalties, toll violations, road-charge infringements, and legal expenses arising from non-compliance with these Terms or applicable laws in Italy or authorised jurisdictions.
This includes, without limitation, violations arising from failure to obtain or display required motorway licences, vignette permits, toll payments, congestion charges, environmental access authorisations, or similar road-use obligations.
If a notice, charge, or enforcement action is transmitted to T66, the customer must provide proof of payment promptly upon request. If proof is not provided, T66 may settle the amount and recover the full cost from the customer.
T66 may recover such amounts by:
-
deduction from the security deposit
-
charging the payment method used for the rental
-
charging any replacement payment method provided
-
issuing invoice for settlement
The customer authorises T66 to charge the payment method used for the rental for fines, penalties, administrative charges, or related costs received after completion of the Rental Period, including those received months following return of the motorcycle.
T66 may apply an administrative handling charge of €40 per notice processed in addition to the underlying fine or penalty.
Recovery may occur after rental completion and without further authorisation where supporting documentation exists.
24. Penalties and Chargeable Costs
The customer must pay the following penalty amounts and chargeable costs where applicable:

loss or destruction of keys or documents: €250
-
refuelling handling charge under the fuel policy: €55
-
cleaning charge where the motorcycle is returned in a condition requiring cleaning beyond normal road use: €30
-
repair costs resulting from use of incorrect fuel
-
repair costs resulting from incorrect fuel gauge handling or misfuelling effects
-
repair costs or claims incurred as a result of unauthorised use, misuse, or unauthorised accessories
-
repair costs where the customer cannot provide required police documents following an incident
-
fees, fines, penalties and legal expenses caused by non-compliance with these Terms or applicable laws
The customer remains fully liable for all damage, theft, recovery, and related costs.
All repairs, replacements, and chargeable costs are calculated based on estimates or invoices issued by authorised service providers selected by T66 and may be recovered via the security deposit, payment method used, or invoice.
25. Termination
The agreement terminates upon expiry of the Rental Period, or by unilateral termination by T66 where the customer fails to fulfil obligations, including misuse, failure to pay, failure to establish deposit, failure to collect, or breach of operating conditions.
Where the customer terminates early, amounts paid for unused periods may be retained as indemnity.
26. Data Processing and Telematics
Personal data may be retained for compliance and claims settlement. Motorcycles may use telematics or GPS for recovery and operational purposes. Tampering may constitute unauthorised use and trigger termination and liability.
27. Force Majeure
T66 is not liable for disruption caused by events beyond reasonable control.
28. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Italian law and subject to Italian jurisdiction.
